Our interventions, which involved suspending people in public spaces, were inspired by Octavia Butler’s novel Parable of the Sower, written in the early 1990s. The book depicts a futuristic Earth marked by war, climate change, social collapse, and environmental degradation. It’s structured as a series of diary entries, with the first entry dated July 20th, 2024 — the exact day we opened our exhibition in Berlin.
